PC Snoop Pro
PC Snoop uses video capture device and/or camera
attached to PC to monitor the area around your system or anywhere within reach
of the camera's cable. Its core component is motion detection software
algorithm with user-selectable sensitivity threshold and field-of-view zone. When PC
Snoop detects a potential intruder it records every move he (or she) makes
into a date- and time-stamped video log file. You can select whether PC Snoop
will be (a) quietly watching your room or workplace, (b) produce
a loud alarm sound if an intruder is detected, or, (c) if you are expecting
a visitor, record his/her video and voice message for you just like a secretary.
The recorded video files (video log) are stored in proprietary compressed
format. Compression is done using any video codec available on your system.
The provided PC Snoop Browser application allows to view the compressed video
log from any desired position at any suitable speed (faster or slower).
And should you need to send the recorded information to any place where PC
Snoop is not available, you can export a part or the whole video log file
into standard AVI file or single-frame bitmap (.BMP) format.
PC Snoop comes with a choice of PCI or USB video capture capture device or
as a software-only package. PC Snoop and PC Snoop Pro software can operate
with any video capture card or digital video camera provided that the device
supports industry-standard Video for Windows™ video capture
driver and uncompressed 16-, 24- or 32-bit RGB video capture format.
